T. Blake Maddox, DMD
T. Blake Maddox, DMD is originally from Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1994 with an B.S. degree in Zoology. Dr. Maddox then attended UAB School of Dentistry and received his DMD Degree in 1998.
Upon graduation, Dr. Maddox began practicing general dentistry in Irondale, Alabama. In 2002 he joined Alabama Family Dentistry as a partner. Dr. Blake Maddox performs his dental procedures and services at the Gardendale, Acton Road, and Warrior location.
He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA), and the Birmingham District Dental Society (BDDS).
Dr. Maddox and his wife Kim have a son Luke, and daughter Mary Grace. He stays active by working out at the gym, enjoying water sports, cycling and simply being outdoors. He and his family attend The Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham.
Jared Murrell, DMD
Jared Murrell, DMD grew up in Gardendale, Alabama. After graduating from Gardendale High School he attended UAB where he received an B.S. degree in biology and chemistry in 1996. He received his DMD degree from UAB School of Dentistry in 2002. He then joined Alabama Family Dentistry as a partner. He has been focusing his continuing education in dentistry on dental implants and restorative procedures. Dr. Murrell sees patients at Gardendale Family Dentistry and Warrior Family Dentistry.
Dr. Murrell and wife Amy have three children, daughter Grace, son Hudson and daughter Olivia. They are members of Canterbury United Methodist Church. He enjoys fishing and watching college football.
Adam B. Graham, DMD
Adam B. Graham, DMD received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Montevallo on baseball and academic scholarships in 2001. He received his DMD in 2006 from UAB School of Dentistry. After practicing for a year in Hoover he joined Alabama Family Dentistry in 2007 and practices at the Warrior Dental office. Dr. Graham became a partner in 2009.
He continues his dental education with classes on cosmetic dentistry, courses on new techniques in dental materials, advanced oral surgery, and dental implants.
His professional affiliations include American Dental Association (ADA), Birmingham District Dental Society (BDDS), and the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA).
Dr. Graham is married to Amy and has one son, Cameron. He stays physically active by working out, bicycling, running, bowling, and playing softball, golf, and tennis. He and his family are members of Riverchase United Methodist Church.
Jing Li, DMD
Jing Li, DMD has a Medical Degree from Xian Medical University, in Xian, China. He graduated from Auburn University in 1994 with a BS in Zoology, and received his DMD from UAB School of Dentistry in 1998. After graduating from Dental School, Dr. Li completed a one year General Practice residency at the University of Mississippi’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Li see patients at Acton Road Family Dentistry and Warrior Family Dentistry.
Dr. Li is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA). He is a member of the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA) and the Birmingham District Dental Society (BDDS). Dr. Jing Li is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) which is an organization of general dentists dedicated to continuing education.
Dr. Li enjoys spending time and travelling with his wife, Kay, and daughter, Amy. Occasionally he can be prompted to sing for his friends and is often referred to as “Chinese Elvis”. He and his family are active members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
Administration
Practice Administrator, Robert E. Hamric, DMD, FAGD
Robert Hamric, DMD graduated with a BA degree from Samford University, and the DMD from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He earned a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).
Dr. Hamric is a life member of the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA), and The American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Hamric is also a life member of the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration (AADPA). Membership into AADPA is by invitation only with membership limited to 250 dentists. Dr. Hamric is one of three members in Alabama.
Dr. Hamric brings to Alabama Family Dentistry years of experience in private practice and the corporate business world. He practiced general dentistry in the Eastwood area of Birmingham before entering full time practice management and consulting. Dr. Hamric is a professional speaker with over 500 presentations at dental meeting across Canada and the USA, and authored many articles for dental publications. He served as the Executive Director for The International Analgesia Society, and was CEO for Practice Management Associates, COO for Cornerstone Dental, a Birmingham dental management company, COO for American Family Dental out of Memphis, Tennessee, with 17 practices located in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, and Senior Vice President for Pro-Dentec, a dental product manufacturing company located in Batesville, Arkansas. In 2003 he accepted the Administrators position with Alabama Family Dentistry. He handles the business decisions for the practice which allows the doctors to devote full time to patient care.
Dr. Hamric and his wife Ava live in Vestavia Hills. He has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. They are members of the Methodist Church where he has served as Lay Leader and Lay speaker. He enjoys sports, Alabama Football, the beach, cruising, writing and reading.
Dr. Hamric says “God has blessed me in many ways in my personal life, private practice and the business world. I love what I do and do what I love. When you enjoy what you do, it is not work. I still have many years to give back to these younger dentists I am fortunate to work with.”
Cheryl Williams
Administrative Assistant
Cheryl Williams has been the Administrative Assistant at Alabama Family Dentistry, LLC for over 5 years after taking time off to be a stay at home Mom. She worked previously at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Cullman, AL for over 14 years, holding different positions including Personnel Co-Coordinator with over 1700 employees at that time. Cheryl is a graduate of Dora High School.
Cheryl with husband of over 20 years, Jerry, has two sons, Tristan and Trenton. They are active members of Dilworth Memorial Freewill Baptist Church, where Jerry serves as a Deacon and Cheryl is the Youth Choir Director. Family hobbies include boating, fishing and camping.
